Charles Bransom, born in 1946, a native of New York City, USA, and presently a resident of Mango, Florida, USA, has been involved in research on the episcopate since 1964. He is the author of a book, «Ordinations of U. S. Catholic Bishops, 1790-1989», published in 1990 by the U.S. Catholic Conference, as well as scholarly works published in several journals including «Vie Oblate Life», «Boletin Eclesiastico de Filipinas», and «Franciscan Studies.» He has also contributed to special issues of «The Pilot» (newspaper of the Archdiocese of Boston, USA), and «The Michigan Catholic» (newspaper of the Archdiocese of Detroit, USA).
