We ask our readers to help us establish the exact relationship between the jurisdiction of Cape of Good Hope, and Mauritius, around 1818-1819. We suspect that there might have been some sort of merger between the two, which presupposes that the jurisdiction of the Cape was erected independently of Maruritius, but our sources are contradictory.
