DECEMBER

Saturday, 21:
At 11:30 a.m., audience in the Clementine Hall of the Apostolic Palace with the cardinals, the Pontifical Family and the Roman Curia for Christmas greetings.
Tuesday, 24:
Midnight Mass in St. Peter's Basilica for the Solemnity of the Birth of Our Lord.
Wednesday, 25:
Solemnity of the Birth of Our Lord. At noon, Christmas message and "Urbi et Orbi" blessing from the central loggia of St. Peter's Basilica.
Tuesday, 31:
At 5:30 p.m. in the church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Vespers and Te Deum in thanksgiving for the end of the year.

JANUARY 1997

Wednesday, 1:
Solemnity of Mary, Most Holy Mother of God and 30th World Day for Peace. Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Basilica.
Saturday, 4:
At 8:30 p.m., rosary in the Paul VI Hall.
Monday, 6:
Solemnity of the Epiphany of Our Lord. Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Basilica and episcopal ordination of archbishops and bishops elect.
Sunday, 12:
Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Mass at 10 a.m. in the Sistine Chapel and Baptism of a group of infants.
Monday, 13:
At 11 a.m. in the Sala Regia, audience with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See, for the New Year's greeting.
