For 100 years, St. Ansgar's Scandinavian Catholic League in New York has published an annual Bulletin discussing Scandinavian Catholic History from the Ninth Century on, and current events.

On May 28th in Vatican City's ancient and beautiful "Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana", the Prefect of the Library, Msgr. Cesare Passini, and the "Capo" of Acquisitions, Raffaella Vicenti, received all the publications of St. Ansgar's Scandinavian Catholic League of New York from the last hundred years, bound in six large volumes.

Over the League's history, it has published articles on significant Catholic personalities and events from 900 to 2010. During this period, many ancient dioceses and two archdiocese developed, and then were suppressed in the mid-1500's. They were revived in the mid-1850's as mission territories and function again since WW II as seven diocese: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Trondheim, Tromso, Helsinki and Reykjavik. The many Catholic immigrants to these dioceses explain their recent growth.

For those interested, an archival CD is now available from St. Ansgar's League. Please send $49.95 by check or money order to St. Ansgar's League, c/o Rambusch Company, 160 Cornelison Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304, and a CD will be mailed to the address provided. All of the information in the one hundred years of the Bulletin can be accessed by author, title, subject, or by date.
