(The Falkland Islands / Islas Malvinas were at first part of a jurisdiction based in Chile: Southern Patagonia / Magallanes (AP, erected 1883), which also took in the southern part of Argentina. In 1916 the Argentinian part of that jurisdiction was detached and transferred to Buenos Aires, but the Malvinas were still part the Chilean-based jurisdiction, which now was called Magallanes y Islas Malvinas. At a later time, ther Malvinas were detached from Magallanes, and transferred to Argentinian ecclesial care).
