Bob Hilkens was born in 1947. He is living in Gent, is married, and has one child. He holds a Masters degree in African History from the University of Gent. «I think my site best resumes my principal - if not only - interest: the history of the administrative structures of countries and of their leadership. Originally limited to «secular» states, this interest was extended to the Roman Catholic central and regional hierarchy after I discovered DHGE some years ago.»
