(There is no, and has never been any, Catholic Territorial Jurisdiction in the Maldives. However, the Archdiocese of Colombo, with its See in Sri Lanka, covers the entire territory of Maldives. This arrangement dates back to 1886. There is, as far as we know, no organized Catholic presence in the Maldives.)
