BISHOP BELO ARRIVED IN DARWIN (AUSTRALIA) (BRIEF, CHURCH/RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS)

The prelate of Dili (East Timor), Bishop Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, just arrived in Darwin (Australia). The news arrived from our MISNA sources, who referred that the Bishop, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1996, was forced to leave his Timorese diocese due to the growing violence and continuous attacks of the pro-Indonesia militias even against Church buildings.
